Coffee table...

Santa bought us some new posters for our coffee table. The first one is all about the solar system. Loads of interesting facts to read and discuss.

I think the best part about our coffee table is that it gets talked about a lot. Its in the thick of it, in the centre of our lounge. The kids play on there a lot. Being nice and low its perfect for our kids to sit on the floor next to. Drawing, eating, reading are all favourites here. Not only do we talk about our posters, our visitors get involved too. Although most folks tried to ignore the tarot card spread we had on there for Halloween!

We'll let you know what the next poster is. It gets changed as soon as we all loose interest. Could be a day or two, or even a month or two. Keep checking back!

Glitter, glitter and glitter...

This Christmas has been one full of crafts, mostly thanks to Pinterest! We've been gluing and sticking and drawing and painting. Every kind of Christmas picture or activity....we had a go at.
So down came the Halloween pictures and up went the snowmen and Christmas trees.
We also tried our hand at salt dough. The littlies really enjoyed painting them once they'd dried whereas my eldest enjoyed the modelling. They're hung on one of our five trees. Five?? Yes I know...did I say we like Christmas?!
My big girl really enjoyed getting to grips with the stapler and making paper chains. They're hung up and look brilliant. Easy too. I'm tempted to leave them there.

Not a craft but definately worth spending time doing was the play snow. Another Pinterest find. A can of cheap shaving foam and a pack of cornflower. It feels incredible. Soft as silk, light as air. Made a bit of a mess under the table but worth the effort.
